How to get painting business is one of the biggest challenges a new painter faces. Just like in any other business, finding customers takes time and momentum. But you can get off to a quick start if you know a few advertising tricks.
I got my first customer within a half an hour, on my second attempt! Knowing your target market, which jobs to go after, which jobs to walk away from are all important factors also. I can use 6 or 7 methods to get more painting customers.
Just as any company should never rely on any one method of advertising, neither should you. When it comes to the subject of how to get painting business, I basically use 3 methods. I could be more aggressive if I had to, but since I run a small one to two-man operation I don't need to advertise as much to stay busy all year long.
