Painting Business - Cheap Paint Verses Quality Paint
I never use cheap paint. Why? Because it takes longer to get a painting job done. If you've ever painted tall walls like in a front entry way of a two-story home you will know what I'm talking about.
I always paint two coats on walls. One coat as a primer coat and one coat of paint as a finish coat. These days everyone uses latex paint. Paint stores hardly sell alkyd wall paint anymore anyways due to strict government V.O.C. regulations.
With latex paint many painter have had problems with streaking. That's one reason I use only the best paints in my painting business. Another reason is that many customers frown on cheap brands of paint. They may not say anything, but you can tell it.
Another reason is that cheaper brands of paint are harder to wash if the walls get dirt or marks on them. Cheap paints can burnish when washing on them leaving patchy looking spots on the walls.
