How To Have Perfect Ceilings
Do you see streaks on your ceilings when using a flat white ceiling paint? If you are a professional painter you have undoubtable gone through the trouble of finding a true flat ceiling paint that doesn't leave lap lines or streaks. A paint that goes on smooth as well.
Does such a paint exist? Well if you can find a store in your area that sells Porter "Blanket" you are in luck. It's not a paint, it's a block-out primer. I use the PP-1129 formula. It's not a tinting white, but a full white.
Two coats does the trick. You get a true pure solid white finish with no streaks, no tell-tale cut-in lines around the edges and you can re-coat within an hour. I did 3 bedroom ceilings in about 6 hours. They were two small rooms and one large. The primer really sgoes a long way and spreads nice too.
It's perfect for ceilings and blocking out dark colors on walls before applying regular paint to the walls. You would think that you can't use a primer as a paint for ceilings but again, it's not a tintable white. It's a solid white. It's only around $25/gallon and is really easy to paint with using a 3/8 nap roller.
