Painting Business - Stand Before Kings!
In the book of Proverbs it says that a man who is committed to his business will stand before kings and not mean men.
I figure that to mean that if you are committed to any business whether painting or plumbing, carpentry work etc., you will be finding yourself in the presence of successful people instead of grumpy factory-rats.
When you have belief, you will automatically become committed to your business. Knowledge creates belief and belief turns into action.
Knowing how to paint and how to get all the business you can handle gives you the confidence and belief in yourself to make things happen.
When I first started painting I would have gladly laid out a couple of twenties for instant knowledge in my painting business.
I didn't know how to do bids, find work or how to effectively prepare surfaces for painting. It took a lot of trial and error.
Today I make pretty good money as a self-employed house painter. I figure it this way. The sooner someone really knows what they are doing, the sooner they can charge $15 to $25 per hour.
I never really lost money though. Proverbs also says that there is profit in all labor. I have found that if I under bid on a job it always seemed to come back to me later through repeat business and referrals.
Sill though, if I had the knowledge that I have today, I could have made really great money right from the start of my career. My book "How To Paint Like A Pro" can give you that boost you need to succeed.
