Do You Enjoy Your Work?

I just got a call today from a man who wants to start his own painting business. he says he doesn't neccesarily enjoy painting but it seems like something he could do.

I naturally didn't want to talk him out of a sale but I said "hey, if there is a paycheck in it go for it!, right?"

The truth is though that finding a business or a job that you love doing is a great way to go. I love to paint. I can hardly wait to get through the prep work so I can get to the painting part of it.

Not every job is totally enjoyable, but the key is to find work you love most of the time. Even rock musicians and baseball players have certain aspects of the job that they don't like or absolutely hate, but for the most part, they enjoy what they do.

If you enjoy your work, you will naturally do a better job. There are times when I look forward to Monday morning because I get to start a new painting project. This is the key to life's fullfilment - enjoying what you do!

When you enjoy your work, time goes faster, you do a better job and you look forward to each new project. The money can be a natural extention to it all when your heart is in it!
