Free Gasoline for the Business Owner!

Do you currently own your own painting or drywall repair business? If you do, do you charge for your gasoline?

I like to tack on an extra $30 "per week" in all my bids. If I am on a job that is going to take me 3 weeks to complete, that's a $100 worth of gasoline that I don't want to eat!

I want my hourly rate with no deductions. After all, Uncle Sam wants his chunk, so we need to get all we can out of our bids. That's just good business sense and the customers expect it anyway.

You have your own vehicle to look out for and with the price of gasoline constantly going up and down you have to count it as an added expense that the customer must pay.

Just like materials like paint. The customers pays for the paint. It is included in my bids but it is extra from the labor. The same thing goes for roller covers, caulks, sandpaper, etc. I don't pay for those either. The customer does.
